OFFICE INFORMATION AND MAPS

Orthopaedic Associates of Augusta, P.A. was organized in 1969 by four orthopaedic surgeons - Dr. John L. Chandler, Dr. Mercer T. Bridges, Dr. Edward S. Forrester and Dr. H. Sherman Blalock. Since that time our group has continued to provide quality, orthopaedic care in the C.S.R.A. Our scope of practice includes general orthopaedics, total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, hand and foot surgery, treatment of spinal disorders and sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Both our main office and our Evans office are staffed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is always a physician on call  for medical emergencies twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The physician on call may be contacted after hours by dialing either of our office locations.

All of our physicians are members of the University Health Link provider network. We are able to file insurance claims with many carriers upon receipt of proper authorization and claim information. Our billing and insurance office may be dialed directly at (706) 722-1197. For questions concerning policy coverage or managed care participation, you may wish to contact your insurance company directly.

Our main office is located on the second floor of Professional Building 3 in the University Hospital Professional Center, at the intersection of Walton Way and 13th Street. Free parking is available in the adjacent parking lot, and wheelchair transportation is available for those who may need special assistance.

MAIN OFFICE

Our Evans office is located in the University Hospital Professional Complex, located just east of the intersection of Washington and Bel Air Roads, and may be accessed from Bel Air Road or from Town Centre Dr. off of Washington Road (between the Smile Station and the Publix Shopping Center).
